Kumbh Mela is the biggest religious gatherings on the planet which takes places on the banks of the river Ganga. The number of pilgrims this year is expected to exceed around five million since the first day Jan 14 till the time it concludes on April 28, 2010. The auspicious days of the shahi snan or royal baths usually draw hundreds of thousands of devotees to the Har Ki Paudi and other banks of the river. Uttarakhand. North India.

The Konark Dance & Music Festival 2011 held from February, 19th to 23rd, organized by Konark Natya Mandap. The festival takes place in an open-air auditorium and enlivens the spirit of the sculptures of Konark temple which is just a short distance away.

The objectives of the Konark Natya Mandap are to preserve, promote, and project the rich cultural heritage of Orissa and to infuse cultural awareness in the minds of all. Started with painstaking efforts of internationally renowned Odissi dance teacher Guru Gangadhar Pradhan who unfortunately passed away last year. Though it took 15 years to build, it was abandoned after only 14 years of use because of shortage of water supply which was unable to sustain the growing population. The palace and mosque in Fatehpur Sikri are a tourist attraction and it is an UNESCO World Heritage Site which is about 40 km from the Taj Mahal, Agra. Uttar Pradesh state (UP), North India.
