In Central-East of Bali is Sukawati. In the the centre of town is the renowned Pasar Seni, undoubtedly the best place to shop in Bali. The two-storey market is a maze of alleyways with a massive array of artefacts, paintings, fabrics, clothing and basketware all crammed together so tight it is sometimes difficult to weave your way through it all. Other goods for sale include Sarongs, light blankets, lengths of Ikat cloth and practically all ceremonial paraphernalia.
Sukawati has a traditional market on the main road of Bali with some side streets as well. It has a nice art market as well as a number of items such as large variety of woven baskets, Balinese ceremonial items made from colourful "Prada" (gold painted cloth), paintings, all types of handicrafts and fabrics.
