Cycles and dabbas of dabbawallas in a giant wheel. Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2008 held annually in February at Kala Ghoda, Mumbai, MH, India.

This giant ferris - wheel installation is done by Krsna Mehta and two students of JJ School of Arts - Laxmi Narwekar & Prashant Keluskar. This installation is inspired by Krsna Mehta & Bachi Karkaria's animated book on Mumbai, Mumbai Masti. As Krsna Mehta puts it, If the world is your playground, then Mumbai is certainly a giant Ferris-Wheel. And one that carried everything around with it, as it goes around its axis doing its daily business. This installation is a playful take on the city thats truly cosmopolitan, in the way its celebrates diversity - of class caste colour, religion profession and everything else.
Its a city that revels in its chaos - that's why 'Mumbai Masti'.
