What are we born with? LOVE
What is it that we learn? Fear
Hence it is said that the true spiritual journey is for us to un-learn. Unlearn our fears, our prejudices, our notions, our biases and all that divides us and when we do that, we bring back what is deeper inside: love, joy, happiness, freedom and all that is good in our lives. If we reflect will we come to the same conclusion that we are born and re-born simply to learn this lesson but in the process we either don’t or sometimes add other layers; hence this birth is a birth to essentially un-learn and return to our purity and our real understanding of life and the real purpose of our birth and time out here. We don’t need books or gurus for this fundamentally simple truth but they can help us kindle or even provoke us from our inertness and thus be the beacon of light to show the path which we and we alone have to walk in solitude & inner bliss. En-route we may have co-travellers, some ahead, some behind, but the journey is ours and ours alone.
