Bejeweled - shot this picture while visiting a group of villages near Nagpur, India, to study the impact of ICT solutions which have been deployed. Saw this sweet girl just appear out at the window of her house. It was a fleeting moment and I could grab just two or three images before she swung her school bag and rang away. I called out after her but she was either shy or late.
This little girl has just come back from school and is in her school uniform. She and her brother standing in Spotted this girl in school uniform sitting outside her house on a tree stub. The whole village lives BPL (Below the Povery Line) and lead a simple but difficult life. Rural Maharashtra. Shot in a village near Nagpur, Maharashtra. India. South Asia.

on October 7, 2008Stunning images! I love the variety but also the commonality of those child smiles. Even the children in poverty light up when their photo is taken, and have a contentment at play that adults lose.
