Munnar, India, Feb 2006
Anu & I made a short trip from Mumbai to Coimbatore to goto Munnar. It is 130 km east of Kochi and borders the state of Tamil Nadu. Munnar is about 6 hours road journey from Coimbatore, TN and is famous as a hill resort and for its tea gardens and lush green tea estates. We had barely reached and settled down when on the second day I had a minor fall but and injury causing a chip & a hairline fracture to my left ankle area.
Munnar (Malayalam: മൂന്നാര് , Tamil: மூணார்) is a town located in Idukki District of Kerala the southern state India Located in the southern Western Ghats. The area is surrounded by vast jungles and remains wet and cool during most of the year. Munnar was the summer resort of the British Government in South India and is 1600 m (5400 ft) above sea level.
