Mukund you have a point about sharpness, as I tend to under sharpen in general. USM and other sharpening can be a one way street (unless one stores the PSD layered files), so once an image has been sharpened then I can't undo it so I under sharpen a bit and only when going for prints do the sharpening. At least that is my workflow and I'm sticking to it. :) So Mukund and Viraj you are right about the bird images. Thanks for the comments.

Suchit- Nice colours. Shapeness is little low to my test. Birds have more edges in the image hence more chance for the creative sharpness.
